SlayBuilt, located in the beautiful Napa Valley, specializes in custom metal work to suit the needs of homeowners, contractors, designers, and architects. Design and fabrication from a small shop with an eye for detail and experience to execute high-level projects.
I began my metal working career with a pipe fitting apprenticeship. I learned how to handle a grinder and a cutting torch and while working with pipe welders fell in love with the process. I’ve worked in breweries, pharmaceutical plants, and even oil refineries, all of which have helped mold me into what I have become. After six years of pipe fitting, work became slow so I found a small shop looking for a welder, - that's when things got good. This small shop taught me what it meant to be a metal fabricator. We built everything from simple brackets, to elaborate multi-piece chandeliers and it is where I learned how to apply patina finishes.
Eight years later, here I am, the beginning of SlayBuilt, bound for success.

We initially hired Bryon to build a pair of large-scale interior barn doors. His work consisted of planing reclaimed wood, adding biscuit joints, and building the metal framework with decorative details. The doors are stunning and are exactly what we had hoped for.
